From July 23 to 30, food was supplied to 11 thousand families in Dhaka city and the districts of Gazipur, Narsingdi, Rajshahi, Natore, and Jhenaidah. The group was assisted in distributing the supplies by local people’s representatives and the government. Rice, dal, semai, oil, noodles, and UHT milk are among the foods available.
“People are truly trapped at home during the lockdown,” says Kamruzzaman Kamal, Marketing Director of PRAN-RFL Group. Many families are living in poverty since most people do not have a regular source of income at this time. As a result, as part of our corporate social responsibility, we are assisting low-income workers in many professions.”
He further stated that, in addition to producing jobs, the PRAN-RFL Group has been playing a prominent role in serving mankind. During major tragedies, the organization gives a helping hand, particularly to the needy.
When the corona virus began spreading in Bangladesh in March of last year, the PRAN-RFL organization began donating food to the needy through the “Pashe Asi Bangladesh” campaign. So far, the organization has donated food and safety goods to almost 80,000 people who have lost their jobs as a result of the coronavirus epidemic. In addition, the organization gave the Director-General Bangladesh Health Services (DGHS) and 19 hospitals in Dhaka, Chattogram, and Bhola corona sample collecting booths, surgical masks, PPE, hand gloves, and hand sanitisers.
