Charles Whiteley, the European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh, emphasized the critical importance of recent EU legislative developments for Bangladesh, noting that half of Bangladesh’s exports are destined for the EU, making Bangladeshi companies vital suppliers to European firms.
On June 11, Dhaka hosted the 2nd Bangladesh Circular Economy Summit, bringing together fashion industry leaders, organizations, and government representatives to advance circularity within the country’s apparel and textiles sector. The summit, organized by the Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE) in collaboration with the German development agency GIZ and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, took place at Radisson Blu Water Garden.
