According to the Sustainability Rating 2023 report published by Bangladesh Bank today, BRAC Bank, City Bank, and IDLC Finance have been recognized as the top lenders in sustainable financing for the fourth consecutive year.
City Bank has recently sealed a substantial deal with the OPEC Fund for International Development, securing a US$30 million loan to enhance international trade dynamics in Bangladesh. This financial injection aims to bolster the operations of import and export enterprises, particularly those in Bangladesh’s agriculture and green energy sectors.
City Bank partnered with Gulshan Society, Dhaka North City Corporation, and Rajuk to host a tree plantation initiative on Gulshan Link Road in Dhaka, Bangladesh capital, as part of World Environment Day celebrations. The event, which marked the beginning of a weeklong series of environmental activities, aimed to bolster the city’s greenery.
