Shimanto Bank Contributes to Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust

Shimanto Bank has recently demonstrated its commitment to education and social responsibility by allocating 5% of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) budget for 2024 to the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust. This significant contribution aims to support the trust's mission of providing merit-based scholarships to underprivileged students across the country.

In a formal ceremony, Rafiqul Islam, Managing Director and CEO of Shimanto Bank, presented the cheque to Smrity Karmaker, Managing Director (Additional Secretary) of the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust. The event was highlighted in a press release issued by the bank.

Senior officials from the trust were also present during the handover, underscoring the collaborative effort between the bank and the trust in promoting educational opportunities for deserving students.

The Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and equal opportunities for underprivileged students through its scholarship programs. This donation from Shimanto Bank is expected to bolster the trust’s efforts and make a substantial impact on the lives of many young learners striving for a brighter future.
