Restaurants Step Up to Support Students Leading Nation-Building Efforts

In the wake of the anti-discrimination movement, as the nation witnessed a remarkable surge of youth activism, several restaurants have stepped up to support the students and young individuals who have taken to the streets to ensure road safety and restore order. These young citizens have become the unsung heroes of a new Bangladesh, working tirelessly from dawn till dusk, driven by a shared mission to reform and rebuild the country.

Sultan’s Dine: A Pillar of Support

Recognizing the sacrifices these students are making, Sultan’s Dine has become a vital ally in their efforts. The restaurant has been providing nourishment to those on the front lines, distributing food boxes filled with Chicken Dum Biryani, Mutton Tehri, and pure water from its Dhanmondi branch. Similar support was extended in Uttara, while the Mirpur team received Kacchi Biryani, all in recognition of the students’ unwavering dedication.

“As long as these students are on the streets, Sultan’s Dine will be with them,” a spokesperson for the restaurant declared, reaffirming their commitment to supporting the community’s young protectors.

Roadside Kitchen: Standing Tall Amid Adversity

The Roadside Kitchen, another steadfast supporter, has been proud to witness the students’ efforts in cleaning the city and controlling traffic. Despite facing threats of arrest from authorities for their involvement during the movement, they continued to serve juice and cold drinking water to students in the Bashundhara area. The restaurant’s owner, Md Shafiqul Islam, emphasized their unwavering commitment to these young heroes.

Top Dough and Roadside Kitchen Collaboration: Feeding the Frontlines

In a heartening display of solidarity, Top Dough and Roadside Kitchen joined forces to prepare lunch for the students. Both establishments recognized the immense sacrifice these young individuals are making for the country and called on everyone to contribute in any way they can.

The Dining Lounge: Honoring the Student Movement

The Dining Lounge in Narayanganj has also come forward, offering pizza and water to students and citizens engaged in cleaning and traffic control. Additionally, they introduced a Free Membership Discount Card for students who present their ID, as a gesture of respect for their role in the movement. The Wari Rooftop branch has also been actively supporting these efforts.

Gloria Jean’s Coffees Bangladesh has been quenching the thirst of these hardworking students with drinks, showing their appreciation for the youth’s dedication in cleaning the streets and managing traffic.

Pizzaburg: Serving Up Support Nationwide

Pizzaburg has been tirelessly serving pizza, cold soft drinks, and more from all their branches across Dhaka, Comilla, Narayanganj, and Chittagong. They have even invited students to reach out if more food is needed, reinforcing their belief that the entire restaurant community stands with the students.

Rave Buffet & Rooftop: Feeding the Spirit of Freedom

Rave Buffet & Rooftop expressed that the students’ actions have rekindled the spirit of freedom, and they have been providing food and water to those cleaning roads and controlling traffic.

Waffle Time: Sweet Support for the Heroes

Waffle Time has been offering a wide variety of waffles to students, thanking them for their unwavering dedication to managing traffic and keeping the city clean.

Other Restaurants Joining the Cause

Several other establishments, including Aladdin’s in Mirpur, Appayan Hotel & Restaurant, Wedding Home Restaurant, Gardenship Restaurant, Coffee Lime, Ashta Banjan-Mirpur, Adda Multi Cuisine Restaurant, and TEAXO, Papizza, Beirut Restaurent, Hotel Radisson Blu have all contributed by providing food, drinks, and even discounts to students. Their collective efforts have demonstrated a profound commitment to supporting the youth who are leading this movement.

These restaurants, through their acts of kindness and solidarity, are playing a crucial role in not only nourishing the bodies of these young heroes but also in fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
