A small initiative has been taken by the Social Services Club of North South University to alleviate the daily struggles and endless sufferings of these people.
Last Saturday (July 2), a team of 25 members of the North South University Social Services Club arrived at Rajpur village in Dharmapasha upazila of Sylhet’s Sunamganj district with relief materials and distributed the relief among 500 families. The whole project has been made possible by the collaboration of teachers, former and current students of North South University.
The North South University Social Services Club will continue to provide services in the future, as it did in the past. This one strong conviction has the club at its core.
Ahmed Tahmid Zaman, the current president of the club, said during the event, “It is not possible to stop this flood, we have to fight this disaster face to face every year. And what is most needed at this time is to stand by the people who have been affected by this disaster without losing our morale. ”
