Nominations open for ‘Priyo Shikkhok Sommanona’

Nomination process for "Priyo Shikkhok Sommanona 2022", a programme jointly organised by IPDC Finance Limited and Prothom Alo, to honour and recognise contributions of teachers started yesterday.

The inaugural ceremony of the fourth edition of this programme was held at a hotel in Dhaka.

According to officials, the nomination process will continue till November 30. Current or retired teachers, having a minimum age of 40 years, will be eligible for the nomination, where the nominators have to be aged a minimum of 18 years.

Prothom Alo Editor and Publisher Matiur Rahman said, “There are irregularities in many of our educational institutions. In this context, it’s important to recognise teachers who are good.”

“We will try to work together to expand such programmes to develop our education sector,” he added.

Some of the teachers who achieved “Priyo Shikkhok Sommanona” in the past editions also attended the programme.
