A Free medical camp was held in Charmadhua Union, a remote char area in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi. The Jamuna Bank Foundation organized the free medical camp at Charamdhua Government Primary School ground in the upazila on Saturday, supporting thousands of patients in the area.
Jamuna Bank Foundation Chairman Alhaj Noor Mohammad inaugurated the free medical camp. Deputy Managing Director Abdus Salam, Residential Medical Officer (RMO) of Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, Amirul Haque Shamim, Social Worker Ahsan Sikder, Sumon Sikder and others were present at the inauguration chaired by Managing Director and CEO of Jumna Bank, Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed.
Speaking as the chief guest, Nur Mohammad said that the Jamuna Bank Foundation has been providing free medical services and medicines to the underprivileged in remote areas of the country. Patients with cataracts, cleft lips are also provided operations free of cost. Since its inception, the Foundation has also been distributing stipends, food items and blankets to poor meritorious students in the area.
