Prime Bank Eye Hospital, which is the CSR project of Prime Bank, operates with a goal to manifest quality eye care that is highly affordable. The hospital aims to serve patients from all backgrounds, especially those who are in need and financially incapable through subsidized fees, free medical camps, and treatment
Since its inception, this hospital has played a pioneering role in the development of the eye care sector and to address avoidable blindness in the country. PBEH arranges outreach camps and provides free and subsidized treatments to communities which makes eye-care services accessible to all.
Since it opened its doors for patients in 2012, Prime Bank Eye Hospital (PBEH) has served more than 135,744 patients up to December 31, 2020, the majority of whom belong to the low-income segment of the population. During this period, 12,475 patients underwent surgeries of whom 8,071 (65%) patients came from PBEH outreach programmes.
In an interview with CSR Window, Hassan O Rashid, MD & CEO, Prime Bank Ltd, says “I think we should be more proactive than being reactive and understand that Prevention is better than cure.”
