Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Grameephone authorities has extended their customers’ account validity till May 31. The extension has been made as due to the lockdown several balance recharge agents’ points are not fully operational across the country and customers need to communicate, said a release. Grameenphone is also providing balance transfer free from one user to another.
They are also providing call and internet offers during the lockdown and its ICT team has launched two services — Audio Conferencing and Smart Connect. Grameenphone has also donated 50,000 Personal Protective Equipment and 10,000 COVID-19 test kits. The organisation has also collaborated with BRAC and launched a campaign Dakche Amar Desh to support 100,000 families with emergency food sustenance.
