During the ‘Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh,’ held recently at Hotel InterContinental Dhaka, top power, energy, and engineering company Energypac Power Generation Ltd (EPGL) earned an award in the category of ‘AmCham CSR Excellence Award.’

According to a news release, the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) inaugurated a CSR Zone at the annual US Tarde Show last year.

On that occasion, AmCham’s member organizations displayed their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Following the success of the project, AmCham decided to award the ‘AmCham CSR Excellence Award,’ which recognizes members’ efforts to have a substantial effect on communities and stakeholders.

This year, Energypac has been honoured with this award in recognition of its ongoing efforts and dedication to ensuring Bangladesh has access to clean energy sources.

On this occasion, Naweed Rashid, chief strategy officer of EPGL, said: “As the leading electro-mechanical engineering company in Bangladesh, we are extremely honoured and delighted to receive the ‘AmCham CSR Excellence Award.’ We are leaving no stone unturned to help the country address and fulfil its power and energy needs. The event’s chief guest was Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen, MP, while the special guest was Private Sector Industry and Investment Adviser to the Honorable Prime Minister Salman Fazlur Rahman, MP, and the guest of honor was US Ambassador to Bangladesh Earl R Miller.
