City Group has come forward as a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) partner for this project. Their support underscores the company’s commitment to cultural enrichment and social development. At the launch event for the song collection “Jeta Amader Nijer Moton” on June 8 at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro, Nirjhar emphasized the importance of this partnership. Despite the absence of direct sponsorship, City Group’s involvement highlights their dedication to promoting cultural initiatives.
Nirjhar has also made a personal investment, contributing his writing and musical talents to the project. He refers to this effort as Intellectual Social Responsibility (ISR), demonstrating a commitment to using his skills for societal benefit without expecting financial returns. This dual approach of CSR and ISR aims to build self-reliant, future-oriented institutions for professionals in various creative fields.
“The objective of this process is to create opportunities for vocalists, musicians, lyricists, composers, sound engineers, and producers so that they can earn money honestly. Eventually, they will take over the management of this institution,” explained Nirjhar. This initiative seeks to integrate institutional and intellectual social responsibility, providing sustainable income opportunities for artists while fostering a culture of original music production.
Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed praised Nirjhar’s multidimensional creation, emphasizing its commitment to societal contributions and the arts. Rubaiet Ahamed, brand manager at City Group, expressed optimism about the project, acknowledging that while not all songs may achieve widespread popularity, the initiative could attract a new audience, marking a significant success.
City Group’s support for “Ek Nirjharer Gaan” exemplifies how corporate entities can play a vital role in cultural development, leveraging their resources to create meaningful social impact. This partnership highlights the potential of CSR to foster artistic talent and build sustainable, creative communities.
