Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) is accepting donations using a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express credit card for patients suffering from Thalassemia.

Thalassemia patients need monthly blood transfusions which makes it expensive to survive. The poor cannot afford sufficient treatment and become chronically ill. The zakat collected will support these patients with life-saving treatments.

EBL collects this Zakat every year during the month of Ramadan for poor patients. The number of beneficiary patients has increased over the past few years. In 2019, 428 patients received treatment from the zakat fund collected by EBL.
