CSR News: Walton donates Tk. 3cr to PM Relief and Welfare Fund

Country’s electronics giant Walton has donated Tk 3 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund to support the government in the ongoing battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
Walton donates 2cr to PM Welfare Fund CSR

Last year, the Bangladesh’s super brand had contributed the same amount to financial assistance to help the government combat the outbreak of corona pandemic.

Engineer Golam Murshed, managing director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited, donated Tk 3 crore on behalf of Walton. He handed over the cheque to Ahmad Kaikaus, principal secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, at PM’s Office on Thursday morning.

Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina attended the function virtually from her official residence Gono Bhaban.

Among others, Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited Deputy Managing Director Liakat Ali and Walton’s Executive Director Jahidul Islam were also present.

Thanking Walton for the donation, the Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary appreciated Walton’s contribution to various socio-economic activities.
