Breast cancer awareness event by Amal Foundation, Daraz, BANCAT and Labaid Cancer Hospital

Amal Foundation along with Daraz, BANCAT and Labaid Cancer Hospital organized an event at Shamsun Nahar Hall, University of Dhaka to increase awareness on breast cancer

Confronting Global Cancer Challenge: With cancer claiming almost 10 million lives in 2020 and being a leading cause of suffering and death, current awareness efforts fall short. In response, Amal Foundation joined forces with Daraz, BANCAT, and Labaid Cancer Hospital for an enlightening event at Shamsun Nahar Hall, University of Dhaka, attended by 200 participants. Focused on breast cancer education, early detection, and holistic well-being, our program aimed to elevate cancer awareness. Notable guests included Dr. Ali Nafisa, an Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, and cancer survivor Ms. Farjana Ali. Two medical booths provided screenings with dedicated nursing support. Our heartfelt thanks to Chief Guest Dr. Lafifa Jamal, Professor of Robotics & Mechatronics Engineering, and Shamsun Nahar Hall’s Provost for making this event a success. Together, we’re proud to champion this cause.
