BRAC Bank’s CSR activities fall under the CSR Guidelines of Bangladesh Bank Sustainable Finance Department, where it is mandatory to spread out CSR initiatives in certain approved initiatives for education, healthcare and climate change (disaster response or conservationism). The bank primarily engages in one-off donations to government relief funds under several categories. BRAC Bank hosts an annual run to raise funds called “Dour”, where the company raises funds from employees and participants, while doubling the amount raised. The donation goes to a changing roster of NGOs as per the management discretion.
