bKash Donates Tk50 Lakh to Aid Cyclone Remal Victims

In a significant relief effort, bKash has donated Tk50 lakh to support families devastated by Cyclone Remal. This aid has been distributed among 2,500 of the hardest-hit families, according to a recent press release.

bKash’s contribution aligns with BRAC’s “Bangladesh is Calling” campaign, providing Tk2,000 to each family. This assistance is designed to sustain a family of four for two weeks. The funds have been directly deposited into the bKash accounts of the affected families, who can withdraw the money from nearby bKash agent points at no cost.

Moreover, individuals wishing to support BRAC’s “Bangladesh is Calling” initiative can make donations via the bKash app’s “Donation” section or by sending funds to the merchant number 01730321765.

Cyclone Remal struck Bangladesh on May 26, accompanied by a tidal surge that wreaked havoc on the coastal areas. Millions were impacted, with numerous families losing their homes, crops, and livestock.
