A number of books were officially handed over to bKash at the BGMEA’s office in the capital on the occasion, according to a press statement.
A book collection station is also there at the organization’s Uttara headquarters.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan handed over the books to ATM Mahbub Alam, Head of Pay-Roll Business of bKash. Senior officials of both the organisations were present at the moment.
Members of the organization can contribute books at a stand set up at the BGMEA’s Uttara headquarters. At the Bangla Academy Book Fair, bKash will gather books from tourists, writers, and readers, as well as books contributed by customers at bKash customer service centres and outlets of chosen superstores around the nation, and books from its own fund. The collection will include books from BGMEA. The Obhizatrik Foundation, a non-profit organization, will distribute all of these books.
bKash will deliver books to a variety of organizations this year, including schools for underprivileged children, a number of elementary schools, libraries, and old age homes, as it did last year. The BGMEA participated in this project to promote more book donations for disadvantaged children.
