Bangladesh Medical Association Serves and Donates to Sylhet

The Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) is providing mobile medical services to flood victims. Every day the organization is distributing dry food along with emergency medicine items in different areas of Sylhet. So far they have reached out to about a thousand families.

On Saturday morning, Kamalganj Government Primary School and Laxmipasha Government Primary School, Makar Mia High School, Lalabazar and Moglabazar areas of Mollargaon Union in South Surma Upazila of Sylhet conducted the program among the flood victims. Ihteshamul Haque Chowdhury.

The BMA secretary-general said they would continue their activities until the flood was normal. Their services include emergency medicine such as napa, paracetamol, syrup, or saline and immediate treatment. The doctor said that after the flood waters receded, there was an outbreak of various water-borne diseases including diarrhoea, cholera and dysentery. If you can’t control these, the situation will get worse.

Several doctors from Parkview Private Medical in Sylhet are associated with the mobile team. They are giving medicine to the patients. The organization will continue to provide mobile medical services in various locations. Bangabandhu Medical Technologist Council (BMTP) General Secretary is coordinating the activities.
