49,000 trees planted in Amphan-hit coastal areas under ‘Project Oxygen’

About 40,000 trees were damaged in Koyra because of the devastating cyclone Amphan in May this year. BANDHU Foundation of Bangladesh, Give Bangladesh and Aamrai Bangladesh jointly carried out a tree-plantation program called ‘Project Oxygen’ in Koyra Upazila, Khulna on Friday, where 49,000 trees were planted in Amphan-hit coastal areas.

About 40,000 trees were damaged in Koyra because of the devastating cyclone Amphan in May this year. The organizers and their supporters are hoping that their initiative will lead to reforestation and lend crucial support to the Sundarbans in withstanding future natural disasters.
